While living in the United States and working for Investors Edge, he realised that most people didn't invest because they could not save - a little obvious, but totally overlooked. So, between 1994-95 he wrote the course material for Financial Fitness The Easy Way and returned to South Africa, to establish the company, in January 1996. Jim is a Member of The Institute of Financial Markets and holds a Discretionary Asset Management licence with the Financial Services Board.

Rudi actively consults, and after 11 years in the financial services industry he holds the same passion as he had when he first began.

He was involved in the Execution of multi-faceted law in South Africa with specialities in maritime international transport and trade logistics, commodities, clearing and forwarding, agency, customs and South African corporate and commercial law. In this time he was responsible for setting charters via continual monitoring of market movements and trends. It was through this market monitoring and continual planning that Richard was naturally drawn towards Investment and Financial planning. He then went onto to further his studies in this regard and continues to do so. In 2014 he carried out the role of chief financial officer in which time he carried out the Financial planning, business strategy (creation and maintenance of customer and client relationships, new venture evaluation, hedging & exporting of commodities, cash flow management, budgeting, variance reporting) and management of capital expenditure. Before joining Financial Fitness, Richard worked at Sasfin Financial Advisory Services and the Isle of Man domiciled Capital International Group. Richard sits on both the Category 1 advisory licence and the Category 2 discretionary investment management licences at Financial Fitness.
